almost like a dream.

Almost like a dream in lost landscapes,
Behind the rickety gates of our past;
There rests a rose which resembles your shape,
Which transcends the beauty of the valley vast;

Always in the heart she loves,
And hears every whisper that weeps;
Her smile echoes in the sky above,
Below a forsaken forest lies asleep;

Each day the sun climbs up your lips,
To shamble in the tricks of lust and pride;
A song, like a wing, it eclipses,
The continuation of landscapes by your side;

        Almost like a dream these words will forever shine,
        In the summer skye where our fates intertwine.

Together or apart

once upon a sonnet i was,
in manicured lawns and orion nights,
the silver brook ran without a pause,
flowers rested in yesterday’s delight,
the wakening birds around me speak,
of a spirit kindred to my own,
i hear their long scythe whispering to the weak,
i was sure i worked no more alone,
but soon enough the sun did fade,
and my dreams just held on to speech,
unsure i was, without any aid,
and fog covered what was within my reach,
as long as i can light up the dark with my heart,
so long it won’t matter, if we’re together or apart.

Rain

Shall I compare you to a rainy day?
You are more thunderous and wet
with misery, giving turbulent winds a way,
Reminiscence of the time we met,
Sometimes too noisy for the eager ear,
And often making the landscape dreary,
Always gray and too much to bear,
Exploring and exploiting the confused and weary,
But your eternal excitement will never fade,
Nor the smile you put on my face will die,
For you’ll be the broken star to whom I prayed,
Leaving behind a trail of stardust in that rainy sky,
So long as your heart can see what’s essential & right,
So long lives this, and you, and your yellow light.

Sleeping at last

I see those stars,

Far away in the sky,

Shining like uptown bars,

Only if I can fly,

I’ve been there before,

But couldn’t ever catch one,

It was all smoky for sure,

My paper couldn’t even buy a ton,

These years turned me all red,

I guess I was all alone,

Always listened to messed up head,

From skin, now I’m only bone,

It all caught up, but now it’s past,

Screw it, I’m finally sleeping at last…

Escape from the World

The storm captured the sky in its cage,

The wind blew and the rain mercilessly fell,

It felt just like her family’s rage,

‘Run away’, my mind threateningly tell…

As the sounds of men felt near,

The warnings of the king seemed more serious,

To run with a princess was what I feared,

For our blood, they looked more curious…

The fear got us and nature betrayed,

We both were stuck at the end of the way,

Death pit at the back of us dangerously laid,

King’s army facing us on our unluckiest day…

Holding her hands I looked her in the eyes,

Our lips met, we were all set, we jumped and bid the world goodbyes…
