i am
black, and
exact.

no notions.
no mist.
no hail.
no judgement.

just plain, ol’
black.

whatever i hear
i swallow.
the same moment.
just as it is,
unmisted.

Freedom

I always thought freedom meant
freeing yourself from
other’s expectations and judgement.

but it’s really not.

it’s about freeing you
from yourself, because
we’re the ones who pull
us down,

when all we want
to do is
fly, and own the
sky.
