Shall I compare you to a rainy day?
You are more thunderous and wet
with misery, giving turbulent winds a way,
Reminiscence of the time we met,
Sometimes too noisy for the eager ear,
And often making the landscape dreary,
Always gray and too much to bear,
Exploring and exploiting the confused and weary,
But your eternal excitement will never fade,
Nor the smile you put on my face will die,
For you’ll be the broken star to whom I prayed,
Leaving behind a trail of stardust in that rainy sky,
So long as your heart can see what’s essential & right,
So long lives this, and you, and your yellow light.
This is truly beautiful. Your words brighten our days every time we read them. Never stop creating these breathtaking works of art!

Thanks a lot. Y’all are too sweet! 🙂
Beautiful!
Thanks 🙂
As usual you are awesome, can’t find words to praise your work or rather art. But I always wonder if you have an inspiration that (might be a mystery girl) that inspires you to treat us with such beauty every time you use pen 🙂 I am fan of your poetry 🙂
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate your comments. You just make my day 🙂 I usually take inspiration from my personal as well as other’s lives, and try to pen down those experiences. And yeah, there’s a chance of mystery girl(s) too 😉
I am there would be, who would not want a person who is so good in wooing 🙂
This is so beautifully written, I’m enchanted. I literally am in love with this poem. You made my day!😍😍💓
I’m glad, thank you for your sweet words. Appreciate it 🙂
I loved this ❤️
Thank you!
You had me at the very first line. Shall I Compare Thee is my favourite sonnet and I like what you’ve done with it. 🙂
