Does Santa really exist ?

Merry Christmas to you all! I know the Christmas means a lot of things to different people, but for me its an amazing festival with an interesting history behind it. Since I’m Indian, a Hindu to be specific, we don’t celebrate Christmas like the Christians. But thanks to my ‘Loving Parents’, they taught me early in my life to celebrate all the festivals.

When I was little, and believed in everything that seemed good, my parents used to tell me the day before christmas, that Santa Claus will come and put the presents under the pillow if I go to sleep early. And I still remember the excitement and sudden rush of joy I used to had when I used to see chocolates and gifts under my pillow after waking up! It’s truly an amazing moment for any kid.

Then something happened. I grew 🙂 And the belief in Santa Claus was now buried in the great old story books. I then believed that no Santa exists, it was just my parents who hid all the gifts and chocolates for me under my pillow. How much they loved me that they made me believe that its really the good ol’ Santa! But today as I was walking down the street and looking through the shops, I suddenly came across a child asking his father about the gifts Santa Claus would bring him if he behaved as a good kid! (there are some conditions too ;-)) That kid went on with many questions, like “Where do Santa get those gifts?”, “Does he really live in the North Pole or the South Pole?”, etc. His father remained silent on all his doubts. Finally, he asked, “Dad, Does Santa really exist?” His father smiled a bit, and before he could answer his question, I walked up to him and replied, “Yes, he really exists…”

Mission Impossible 4 : Ghost Protocol

“When it’s Blue, it’s glue.”

“And when it’s Red?”

“Dead.”

This is just a dialogue-trailer of Mission Impossible 4 whose action scenes are just awesome! The story continues with keeping Ethan Hunt as the center of attraction. This time, Ethan Hunt returns again but he and his team, the IMF, are blamed for an attack that destroys Kremlin as part of a plan to disavow his whole team and allow them to operate beyond their usual limitations in the IMF agency. And when there are no boundations, great things are meant to be happened!

The main highlight of the movie is the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper int he world. And yes, Tom Cruise handed it very well! Its just incredible how he plays around it, climbing it in one moment, and sliding down on it in another. And the best part is when he makes his way back to his room by making use of the rope back-and-forth….just awesome! But he has a lot of work to do in this movie. He has to battle a great sandstorm, catch the bad guys and get the nuclear codes from them, use some of the amazing technology, and obviously, save the world! 😀

The technology used in the movie is amazing. Though the time is very far away from us when the tech shown in the movie will actually be reality, still it gets the eye-balls rolling! The cars, hacking, and everything related to tech is at its best, including magnets that can keep you floating!

As of story and acting, everything was just perfect. Tom Cruise acts like a real hero. He holds the responsibility of his team, holds it together and well, get them out for some crazy stunt sequences. Now I’m not gonna tell you the whole story. This is one of those movie which will keep you to the edge of your seat till the end. And there’s not just action, the movie has also got some suspense from the 3rd installment about Ethan’s wife. So if you wanna watch high action thriller starring one of the best, Tom Cruise, then go watch it now!

Paradise

A little girl was all she was,
Without any knowledge of cheats and flaws,
She lived in a world of her own,
Believing all good things she had known…

She lived in a place in all her dreams,
Not near, far away, it usually seemed,
Back then when dreams used to be reality,
It was in her mind with much more clarity…

She dreamt of that place day and night,
Always going there whenever she’d a fight,
All happiness there made her alive,
Yes, she was in her paradise…

As she grew, her place felt farther,
Stuck with problems, always growing larger,
Never ending roads in front to walk,
Just fear with her to share and talk…

No truths, no promises, no faithful ties,
Much more she felt in the world full of lies,
It wasn’t her dreams where the sun rules,
Here just the money and more money, fools…

Her endless dreams faded away,
Of the place for which she heartily pray,
Feeling sadness here, she weeps and cries,
Maybe she lost her paradise…

As she lost the smile on her face,
She looked at mirror with such a disgrace,
Raising her arm she was forced to fight,
Breaking the mirror she felt calm and light…

In blooded pieces she saw herself broken down,
The new was gone and the old was found,
A ray of hope dawned upon her eyes,
She searched for the truths from the pack of lies…

A sense of happiness found her again,
Everything was washed with the showers of rain,
A clear image of chilhood dreams gleamed in her eyes,
Yes, she was in her paradise…

Why I couldn’t give SAT??

Spent more than10  hours in a bus travelling to 2 different states in a journey which started at around 6 PM and ended at around 4 AM. Felt and fought the chilling waves of the early morning. No sleep for more than 24 hours. Reached the examination center as early as possible. Yet, I couldn’t give SAT. For real? Yes! But why? Lets hear the story of a journey then…

Me and my friend were all set to give SAT on 4th Nov. But why did we want to give SAT? Its because we both shared a common dream of attending an Ivy-League School. So SAT was the option, and we began our journey to explore it. First, we figured out how to get to the destination. We had to take a bus, then change it for the another one at the midnight, and that probably meant no sleep at all before the examination night! So we took the bus at 6 PM, reached the mid-stop destination at around 11 PM. And yes, it was getting colder and colder as the hours flew by. Maybe I felt a little more colder because of the exam the next day. You know students freak out a lot before the Big-Day! But I’m not one of them. Still it was very cold 😉

The 2nd bus started the journey at around 11:30 PM. We expected to reach our destination at around 2 in the morning. But I guess we were very very wrong! It was all foggy, and you can imagine the speed of the bus, very slow. It was a horrifying image of a vehicle travelling alone in the dark, coming out of nowhere and going to the same place! We stopped at least 2 times to eat and drink (not the bad drinks!). When at last we reached our destination at  4 in the morning, we were like “OMG, I’m too sleepy!”.

Somehow I got my 2 hours (not exactly!) of sleep and then got ready for the SAT, the next hurdle to be crossed off from my list! truth to be told, I was excited, not frightened, and quite fresh after the tire-some journey. We collected all our documents and the admit card and were completely set to make a mark in the exam. So my high hopes, I went into the center, got all my documents checked, and then was called in the office!

I didn’t know then what was going on, but later I found out I was not alone. There were around 6 students with me, including my friend, and the issue was told to us then. “All you guys and girls don’t have your passports with you, so you’re not allowed to give SAT“, the announcement was made, and I was like “WTF!” It was written on the admit card that you have to bring your Identification along with you, and I’ve everything, but why passport?

Then it was made clear. “The Indians and Pakistani students have to bring their passports for their ID verification. Nothing else will work.” Then I understood. The Collegeboard has some set of rules for the whole world, and some additional rules for the Indians and the Pakistanis. First, their extra fees which is added to the common fee+international fee. So the fees looks like: Common fee+International Fee+Fee for being from India, Isn’t it funny! And then the passport rule, ONLY PASSPORT WILL WORK, nothing else.

So that’s why I couldn’t give my SAT and was kindly asked to go out of the center after such a journey. But you know I have a wish to go to Ivy-League School, so I’m giving the SAT on 28th Jan next year, with much better preparation. And this time, I also have my passport ready :), so please no more additional rules Collegeboard!

What do you want to do before you die?

This is your life. Do what you love, and do it often. If you don’t like something, change it. If you don’t like your job, quit. If you don’t have enough time, stop watching TV. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing, life is simple. All emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them. Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once; seize them. Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them, so go out and start creating. Live your dream, and wear your passion. Life is short.

You can’t friend a dream. You can’t download your feelings. You can’t tag happiness, or post the feeling you get from helping a total stranger. The only thing you can hope to do in your short life…is live your dreams & check each one off, one at a time.

So What do you wanna do before you die?
